Learning targets anchor Gabriella’s reflections on her progress and it shows the role of each participant in the SLC.
Introduce the Student Script for SLC. Review expectations of the activity by going through the handout and what they will have to write.
Have students use their Academic Student Self-Evaluations from each class to help form academic goals. Have students use their Student “Falcon Strong” Self-Evaluation to help form those goals.
This will take multiple days, you will not finish scripting today.
Instruct students to keep their work in the Advisory binder.

February- Winter SLC Practice Date: 2.15.18 OVERVIEW & PURPOSE -Focus: How do I lead an effective Student-Led Conference (SLC)? (ICOR) MATERIALS NEEDED
Introduction: You have completed all the materials to bring to your SLC. Now it's time to practice what you will be saying in order to effectively communicate with your family.
Activity: (ICOR)
Pair up with a classmate (student choice or teacher choice).
Arrange furniture so students are sitting side by side, like they will at their SLC.
Using student script, each student will practice going through their SLC. They should refer to their digital portfolio and advisory binder during the SLC.
After both partners have had time to practice their SLC once, have them discuss ways to improve their SLC.
Continue practicing until time is up.
