When wanting to create a new item in Google Drive (doc, slide, sheet, site) instead of having to visit drive.google.com and go through the step you can simply:
-Go up to the URL bar (address bar) and type doc.new or docs.new (or sheet.new. sites.new, slides.new, form.new) and it opens a new document -If you are already logged into Google Drive you will not have to re-sign in. If you are not signed in, you will have to sign in the first time |
When you are sharing a document in Google Drive there is a way to AUTOMATICALLY have the people you share it with make a copy.
No more having to select 'File-Make a Copy' or going through multiple steps. Step 1- Open the item you'd like to share (Google Slide for example) Step 2- Look at the URL and find where it says 'Edit' |

Do you find yourself logging into both personal and school Google Drive accounts?
Would your prefer a new/fresh window to work while still keeping all of your other Google Chrome tabs open. If so, Incognito mode is for you. To use Incognito in Google Chrome simply hold the following three keys and an Incognito window will open. Ctrl Shift N This window will let you work without affecting your login on your main Google Chrome window. Please Note: The district is still able to see/monitor what you are doing while in Incognito mode (even though the window will tell you otherwise). |
Are you sifting through emails to find that importance one you reference often? Or are you always using the search bar?
If so, start pinning your emails.... To pin your email, simply hold your mouse over the email and select the pin button. Once you pin an email that email will always stay at the top of your Inbox. To get rid of your pin, simply un-select the pin button and the email will go back to it's regular place in your email. |
